The senior project is an opportunity for each graduating student to independently pursue a subject of their own interest. The projects involve months of research and explorations through particular lessons, workshops, artistic work and focused preparation. Each project involves an oral and written presentation for students, families and friends.
• Mastery of the sitar: the performance of original and other compositions, with information about the history and acoustics of the instrument.
• Cranial-Sacrial Therapy: a study of its foundations in medicine and use in therapy.
• Flamenco dancing: the culture and history, and a performance in full costume of several traditional dances
• Beekeeping: a demonstration of hives, stories of beekeepers and culture of the bee.
• Life in Costa Rica: a report on a year living in Costa Rica as an exchange student.
• Jewelry Making and Metalwork: the experience of working as silversmith apprentice including information on the healing properties of metals and stones.
• A Reflection of the Journey Through Over Twelve Years of Waldorf Education: illustrated with nine oil paintings of vivid symbolism and introspection.
• A Reflection of the Journey from Kindergarten Through High School in a Waldorf School: expressed through the written word.
• Presentation of Turkish Food: prepared with recipes from a Turkish cookbook which the student translated into English and hand bound.
• Photojournalism: exploring various peoples lives from different generations with photographs
• A Fairy Tale: written and illustrate, then hand bound into a book.
