See PETER PAN This Weekend!

March 07, 2014 in Inside SWS

Today, March 7 at 7 pm  and tomorrow, March 8 at 2 pm
Seattle Musical Theater, Magnuson Park – For directions, see below.

Please join us at the beautiful Seattle Musical Theatre in Magnuson Park to watch members of our 6th, 7th and 8th grades perform this classic Broadway musical, complete with songs, dances and the occasional sword fight. Directed by our own Maestra Lemberg and with musical direction by Mr. Murphy, the students have been very busy rehearsing, memorizing their lines and learning how to fly. They are ready to show their efforts to our community!

On an ordinary night, a young boy named Peter Pan flies through the window of the Darling household and brings the children home with him to Neverland, where there are pirates and wild ones, and the only rule is to never grow up. There, the children have many adventures, and eventually must choose between perpetual childhood and the comforts of home and family.

The show runs approximately two and a half hours, including one 15-minute intermission and is appropriate for all ages.

Tickets may be purchased at the grade school reception or online here. $12/adults, $6/students.

Directions: Enter Magnuson Park via the main entrance at NE 74th St. Take the second right onto 62nd Ave NE. You will see the theater (located in the north end of the Community Center building) on your left after 0.1 mile. Parking is available on 62nd Ave NE, in a small parking lot to the south of the CC, and in a large parking lot northeast of the CC. See a map of the park here.
