Waldorf EducationSM is based on a developmental approach that addresses the physical, emotional and intellectual needs of the growing child and maturing adolescent. Waldorf curriculum fosters critical thinking and creative problem-solving, instills intrinsic ethical and moral codes, and promotes true joy in learning, by connecting the lessons to the student’s essential nature. The material is brought to the students in a way that engages their inner motivation, sparks their emotions, and challenges them intellectually.
Through direct experience with lesson material, introducing subject matter in an age-appropriate fashion, and providing purposeful activities, Waldorf education promotes wholeness by bringing together body, mind and spirit.
Waldorf teachers are dedicated to transforming education into an art that educates the child holistically. Rather than just accumulating facts, Waldorf students are taught to think, reason, examine and question, with a high value placed on creativity and imagination — thinking "outside the box". Idealism is protected and valued as a great source of future possibilities for our society.
